I'm Emma

I appreciate the calmness that early mornings bring as I sit with my cup of coffee, watching the sun rise. I am an adventurer at heart, with an immense love of travel and an appreciation of different cultures. I dream of capturing weddings from all corners of the globe. So far I have found myself in the beautiful countries of Germany, Japan, Nicaragua, Tanzania, South Africa, and New Zealand! I can't wait to expand that list in the coming years. My dream destination is Lake Como; I like to visualize myself sipping wine as I watch the sun set over Italy. Though I desire to travel and experience all the beauty our world has to give, I also have a deep appreciation for the Bluegrass State where I was raised just a few blocks away from Churchill Downs. My love of racehorses is what gave me my competitive nature. In college, I joined the university's polo team where I played competitive polo for five years. During this time, I discovered my love for photography by covering equine sports and events from the backside of the tracks, to the polo fields, to national eventing championships; thus beginning my photography journey.

After discovering my love for photography, I shot my first wedding in 2017 and have been in love with wedding photography ever since. My favorite part of being a wedding photographer has always been capturing the moment my couples see each other for the first time on their wedding day. This intimate moment is so special and always warms my heart to witness. I am even prone to shed a tear or two during this time!

I love nothing more than spending my days slowly, carefully, with intention.

I've traveled to Japan, taught English in Nicaragua, climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, but my favorite place to travel, that I will always consider my 2nd home, are the small villages in West Germany.
One of my favorite memories is galloping through the german mountains on horseback.

Jewelry! I have a serious addiction to buying unique jewelry (specifically earrings) from local boutiques and makers.

Whenever I'm not shooting a wedding, you can almost always find me at a local farmers market on the weekends or hiking with my sweet corgi, Winston!

I love all things Mediterranean and Italian! Any time I travel, I love to try the local wine; pour me a pinot noir and we'll be best friends.

It's so hard to just pick one aspect of my job! I love every minute of it; from the first time I get to sit and have coffee with my couples, capturing their reactions as they have their first look, to editing and creating works of art at home; each step has a place in my heart.
